Langham Hospitality Group Launches 'Ying' Programme Targeting Chinese Group Customers

To cater to the growing number of Chinese travellers, Langham Hospitality Group is introducing Ying (?), a new group services programme that will provide guests from Mainland China with an effortless and enjoyable experience through a series of four well-defined approaches: Ying Specialties; Ying Welcome; Ying In-room; and Ying Cuisine.

"Ying Specialties" assists groups with services before and during their travel. As a measure of flexibility, group and event quotations may be provided in either the local currency or Chinese renminbi. Contracts may be presented in Simplified Chinese and incidentals in properties may be settled through UnionPay.

"Ying Welcome" greets guests with local information written in Simplified Chinese, directions to the nearest Chinatown, and Mandarin speaking colleagues to assist with translations and facilitate transport.

"Ying In-room" features familiar favourites such as Chinese tea, essential amenities, a selection of Chinese television channels and Chinese-language newspaper titles.

"Ying Cuisine" brings Chinese guests flavours of home by offering traditional Chinese cuisine such as dim sum, congee and noodles prepared by experienced chefs.

Simon Manning, Vice President - Sales and Marketing for Langham Hospitality Group said, "In Chinese culture, "Ying" (?) is an auspicious word meaning "abundance". Therefore, it's only appropriate that the new programme is specially designed to provide Chinese guests with an abundance of home comforts during their stay."
