Team GB?s men?s hockey team came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with world champions Australia yesterday after James Tindall?s penalty corner completed the comeback. The Aussies had continued their great form into the London Olympics with a 6-0 mauling of South Africa before a 5-0 win against Spain. Team GB were set to be a tougher test for Australia and after the home side?s disappointing 2-2 draw in their previous game against South Africa they were keen to upset the much favoured tourists. However, Australia stormed in front through Matt Ford?s brace and a third from Mark Knowles, before Jonty Clarke, captain Barry Middleton and Tindall rescued a point in the second half for the British team. It?s a special occasion.? A win for Team GB in their final Pool A match against Spain at the Riverbank Arena tomorrow will ensure that they qualify for the semi-finals.
