Beavis (named by a Vet Tech Student) is a stray that was brought into the shelter that they had been feeding from the 900 South block of Pike Street. He has been here just over a week and this cat acts like he has lived here all his life! When you open the kennel door, he likes to just roll out hoping that you will catch him! He is a very relaxed, "I don't care about much" kitty that has a cool attitude and a big heart full of love for his next owner. Beavis has received two booster vaccinations, wormer and tested negative for heartworm. Because he is still intact, his adoption fee of $43.00 covers the cost of his neuter and rabies vaccination. Come meet all the pets the shelter has available for adoption Monday - Friday from 11 - 4:45 or Saturday from 10 - 1. Don't forget the shelter will be closed on Monday, October 8th in observance of Columbus Day. Maybe Beavis will be with some of the staff Saturday, October 6th for Barktoberfest. Hungry for chili? Come sample some of the best chili in Shelby County at the third annual chili cookoff. All pets at Barktoberfest will be free! We will be at St. Lukes Episcopal Church off SR 9 south of 74 from 10 - ? Come early, and come hungry. Questions? Call us at 317-392-5127 or email Chris at [email removed] .
